London, March 28: Pop star Britney Spears` father has reportedly forced one of her top fan sites to close over alleged copyright breach.Jamie Spears initiated legal action against the website for posting Britney`s unauthorised photos, lyrics and videos online, the contactmusic reported.
Spears has the conservatorship over his daughter and her work since the star made a successful comeback last year after a very public meltdown post her divorce with Kevin Federline.
"I have been battling the conservatorship Britney is currently placed under for months now," wrote Jordan Miller, who owns the fan site BreatheHeavy.com.
"When I did not conform to the requests and demands Britney’s management and father, Jamie Spears, recently put upon BreatheHeavy to stay quiet, they in turn became angry and malicious, launching, what I feel is an unjust attack, against
me and my website," Miller said in a message posted on the front page of the website.
Jamie Spears` lawyers demanded Miller`s Los Angeles - based site be shut down or face legal repercussions.
Miller also wrote that one of Spears` lawyers told him "you are an uber fan who`s gone a little too far."
Upset with the issue Miller has requested fans to donate funds to fight the legal action against the closure of the website.
