Security cops found intoxicated at Hyderabad Stadium

Hyderabad: The fifth ODI between India and Australia, to be held in Hyderabad, came under the clouds of controversy on Wednesday as many of the security personnel were found drinking on duty by a Zeenews reporter.

With the security of both the high profile teams being paramount, such actions by the police on patrol in the stadium would surely put a big question mark on the state of vigilance in the vicinity as well as in the ground itself.

On being spotted by the media, the culprit cops fled away from the scene, leaving behind half consumed bottles of alcohol at the venue.

With the seven-match ODI series tied 2-2, the remaining three matches would be a tightly fought contest between cricket’s top two ODI outfits.
