Mumbai: With heavy rain showing no signs of relenting, the seventh India-Australia one day cricket match has been cancelled here on Wednesday.

The match officials inspected the conditions at the D Y Patil stadium and took the final decision to call off the match.

The square and the surrounding areas were put under cover and the wet field was soggy.

The unrelenting rains have been lashing the city from last night.

With match got called off, Australia pocketing the series with a 4-2 scoreline.

Australia came back strongly from a 1-2 deficit and went on to win three consecutive matches to pocket the series.
